About Us
Dr. Ira Biderman DDS
Dr. Ira Biderman has been treating the families of Howard Beach since 1981. He obtained his dental education from New York University College of Dentistry in 1979. Since finishing dental school, Dr. Biderman has stayed abreast of new technology and methods by taking over 1600 hours of continuing education courses.
In 2001 he became accredited as a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, which has been achieved by less than 10% of dentists in the United States. This is a prestigious designation obtained by taking more than 500 hours of continuing education courses and passing a rigorous all day examination.
He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the Queens County Dental Society. He is also certified from the International Center for Laser Education in using a soft tissue laser.
Ira has been married to his beautiful wife Meryl, since 1976. They have two children - Rachel and Jonathan. They also have three amazing grandchildren - Alexa, Niko, and Arianna.

Digital x-rays are faster, and use 90% less radiation than traditional x-ray – and they actually improve diagnosis!
Focus on prevention
We want to treat any condition before it causes problems, saving you pain and money by preventing problems. We encourage regular preventative cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants to prevent tooth decay.
Available for emergencies
We reserve time in our schedules each day for emergencies, so you are not waiting weeks with a toothache. Nobody wants an emergency, but it’s nice to know we’re just a phone call away.
